Kelcees' baptism

I can't believe that I have a daughter old enough to be baptized. We went to Arizona for this special occasion and had a great time with our families. Kelcees' baptism went wonderfully and the spirit was so strong in the room.

Watch out AZ because here we come. Two days in the car, three children, one dog, and a whole lot of snacks, sounds like a recipe for fun or disaster. We will let you know

Happy Birthday Kelcee
You are such a wonderful girl. We are so excited about the great choices you are making and the love and happiness you bring into our home. Kelcee's only wish this birthday was to get a Nintendo DS. She was so excited when she opened it, and she also received some fun games from friends, THANKS!

all by myself, don't want to be all by myself anymore. . .

Katie, got in the car today after school and started to tell me about her day. She said that she went to the bathroom and her class left. I asked where they went and she said they went to see a police car. At this point she and I got distracted and she never finished the story.

Tonight I was checking my email and I received this email from Katie's teacher

Hey!! Just wanted you to know what happened today. We had lined up to go outside to see a police car. Before we left the room , Katie realized she had to go to the bathroom---neither Mrs. Hutton nor I realized she had gone. When she came out, the class was not in the room. She sat down on the carpet and cried. The assistant from across the hall came to ask me something, found Katie and brought her to me. I am so sorry!!!!! Mrs. Hutton and I both loved on her and told her how sorry we were...... She stopped crying as soon as she saw us..... Then she got aggravated because she missed the police car so she went to see it with another class.
I don't expect that to ever happen again but we also talked about what to do if it did. Again, I am so sorry!!!

I laughed so hard while reading this. I had Katie retell what happened, she is so cute and animated I had to try hard to keep a straight face. She has great teachers and it is just so funny that this happened to Katie and that she didn't finish the story in the car.

New School Year

It is hard to believe that I have a 2nd grader and a Kindergartner. This year of school promises so much change and growth. Kelcee continuing to grow and learn so much every day, and Katie starting out on her schooling experience. Now with just Gavin and I at home the house is so quiet and our days go by quickly. I look back at the pictures of when they were all under 5 and the time of day didn't matter, just getting basic things done was my goal. I miss their baby faces, but I look forward to our new found independence. My children bring me so much joy and I am glad I am their mother.

Maddie went to the Groomer

I took Maddie to the Groomer today, I was very excited to see her with a fresh hair cut and all blown and brushed to perfection. I guess I had my hopes up too high. She came home a completely different dog. Because I am a spass and was worried about what they would do I talked with the groomer and made sure they wouldn't take off too much hair. She is practically bald, I was going to show them a picture I guess I will try that next time. The kids think she is still cute, but I am a little sad and have to keep telling myself her hair will grow out.

WASPS!!!!

Gavin has had some wasp trouble lately and has been stung a few times. He was stung about two weeks ago and then again on Wednesday. He received 3 stings to the head. He looked fine at first but before he went to bed he started to swell.

Wednesday night
Thursday morning

He is back to normal now, but we have to keep an eye on him. The doctor said that he could continually have worse reactions to wasp stings. I thought he would build immunity but it is not so.

Florida get away

We went to Florida on my birthday and had a great time.
We played in the ocean and had a great time just relaxing and spending time together.

Gavin was just the right size to ride these little waves
Kelcee loved the ocean and she swam, played and was never ready to go home.

Benjamin made the coolest Dragon in the sand I was going to run back to the house and get the camera but I didn't and now I wish I had it was amazing. We had a lot of fun at the beach!
