Easter egg hunt

Our ward did and Easter egg hunt at the local park and it was a lot of fun. Gavin was able to collect a lot for a kid with one working arm. Katie had lots of fun, and Kelcee is still working on new strategies for collecting more eggs, (we might need to practice) but all in all we had a great time.

Kelcee, Katie, and Gavin with the Easter bunny and some friends!

The kiddos after hunting eggs. I would really of liked pictures of them doing the actual hunting, but as egg hunts usually go all three kids were hunting eggs in different areas at the same time. One camera three kids, whats a girl to do?

Gavin takes a tumble

At the hospital befor surgery

This is the starting sentence that sent us to the hospital. Sunday afternoon Gavin fell onto the sidewalk and Kelcee yelled out "Gavin took a tumble" He did not cry very much and I was tempted to keep working on the garden, we were almost done. But, he did fall so I should check on him, right. At first glance I knew that his arm was broken and we headed to the hospital. He had a bad break and they had to transfer him to a different hospital. He stayed over night and they set it and put 2 pins in it the next day. We were able to get home at 7:00 and a good friend brought us dinner, which was delicious and our lives got back to normal as much as they can with a boy with a broken arm, who still wants to climb chairs, bookcases and fall down as much as possible. A big thanks to all of our friends that supported us and helped out in any way that we needed.

Spring break

We had a great spring break, sleeping in and playing all day long. One of the highlights was going to the Safari park. The camels were really funny/aggressive and would still the cups of food. This is Gavin getting up close and personal with the camel.

We went with a lot of friends and the girls had a great time!
This was my favorite picture, these guys came up and wanted to you to just dump food into their mouths. If you ever see this look on your children's faces or others make sure you have food, or running shoes so that you can make a quick escape.

As you can see Katie was so excited she forgot to smile!!!

Puppy fun

Katie and Mattie

We recently have adopted a puppy into our home. The children are having so much fun with her. We named her Mattie. I really hope that she will be a smart dog, she already learned to can come when she is called. If my children would do anything for a hot dog I would be a happy Mom!

Boys and their toys

I don't know if any of you remember the post with his truck sleeping in his bed and him asleep on the floor, but this is the follow up and what we found last night.

The upstairs is pretty close to being done

A lot of changes have gone on upstairs, but we are pretty close to done, we have carpet, bathrooms, and have moved all of the furniture up and started staying up there. We are hopeing to install blinds this weekend and do the finishing touches up in the next couple of weekends. We are very excited about the up stairs and I have a hard time living my retreat and going down stairs.
new carpet on stairs, Gavin woke up from his nap saw the stairs and asked,"can I smell it?"
